Lazy Girl Fitness - Workout When You Can

Sometimes even with all the best intentions, penciling in a workout doesn't fly. Even if you can't hit the gym everyday, you can still make good use of your time.

Anything that you can do quickly and sporadically throughout the weekdays will add up. Then when you hit the gym on the weekends you will have stepping stones to build on.  Lazy Girl Workouts are something that I created when I started my original blog, VioletSage, back in 2012. I'm excited to be bringing it back, but wanted to give a nod an ode to some of my favorites.

Everyone brushes their teeth in the morning, so why not take those two minutes and get a quick workout in. Remember, we are not personal trainers, so talk with your doctor or trainer to make sure you are healthy enough for exercise and take things at your own pace.

1. Toe Raises – Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, raise up to a high releve and then back down. I do this 20 times.

2. Side Lunges – Start in a standing position, lunge to the Left or Right then push-off your lunge leg. One leg stays stationary at all times, do 12 on each leg then switch to the other side.

3. Stationary Lunges – I put my leg on the bathtub then proceed to do 15 stationary lunges on each leg. (Tip – If you can’t see your toes then your foot is to close, push it out).
